As for now, she's very far from that top. The Fallout is her only good role so far. In the other projects she was either miscast (X) or completely forgettable (Scream). Judging by the trailer, she doesn't look exactly natural in this role either.

I think there’s a YT creator that already did this 7 years ago. She’s Melissa Hunter and just search for adult Wednesday adams. There was a skit where Wednesday gets cat called, so Wednesday being herself cat calls the burly men in a much creepier and darker way. I think she got striked with copyright 7 years ago so she was forced to remove the content from her channel. Luckily a lot of other fan accounts were able to reupload the vids.

I didn’t have any expectations before I played the trailer, but this looks pretty good. Jenna Ortega is a really good fit for Wednesday, which is saying something considering Christina Ricci set a very high standard. And apparently Christina Ricci is going to be involved in this as well which is neat. I’m actually looking forward to this.

This is encouraging. I was scared they’d make the Addamses less healthy and loving. There’s a tendency to do that in shows, which is fine, but one of the things that set the Addams apart (and one of the ways they’re “weird”) is exactly how loving, caring, supportive, and healthy they are as a family. But from this, it seems like they’re keeping that. If so, there’s hope for the series

_The Addams Family_ has always been focused on the macabre, but to see it go fully dark like this; it fits, sure, but I don't know if it works. I always loved the more comedic angle they took with it before.

Imo the thing many people are missing is that the 'kid-friendly horror' tone of the previous Addams Family was the thing which kept it alive all these years, because new generations of kids could actually watch and enjoy it. If they start aiming at the adult audience now, I worry they might be dooming the Addams Family to being culturally irrelevant 30 years from now because kids never got to see it when they were young.

I truly love Jenna Ortega and Tim Burton, but I feel like no one's giving Alfred Gough & Miles Millar enough credit than they deserve. @Mad Titan The original Addams Family TV series was far from this dark, and tended to just have a slightly morbid, macabre sense of humor. Like, the Addams family are--much as they're shown in the movies--a friendly, slightly zany bunch who always treat anyone who comes to their home with what they feel is incredible warmth and courtesy. They feel like they're pretty normal, but their guests don't see it that way. They just see a conservatory with a man-eating plant, a crazy witch of a grandmother who regularly totes around a battle-axe, a zombie butler and disembodied hand, and all the various other off-kilter things about the Addamses and their house, and inevitably either run in terror or get themselves into some mishap that the Addamses will find confusing, as for them it's something they find fun/normal. The 90s movies took that to a logical extreme, making the Addamses a little more dark/supernatural, and a little more prone to causing the mayhem, rather than the people coming to their house and inadvertently getting _themselves_ into mayhem and mishaps. Basically, it's like the earliest baby steps of what's since become the "grimdark reboot" style of Hollywood.

Usually I just ignore Netflix trailer but this was a suprise and I watch it from beginning to the end, I definitely going to watch this show.
